OWL Club meetings occur biweekly or every other Monday from 7-8pm.

Meetings are through zoom so youth can join from anywhere in the world.

Only youth <18 years of age can join OWL Club meetings unless invited by the club.
How are meetings like?
Two meeting formats
Meetings will alternate between ThinkFast and Prepared Speeches formats.
ThinkFast
1. Table Topics (≤15 individuals): A select individual will prepare an interactive story or series of events that will be presented at the meeting. Throughout the presentation, the speaker will pause to ask a question and select another individual to answer. Their answer will fall between 1-3 minutes and they will be evaluated on their delivery using the provided evaluation sheet. Once they have answered, the speaker will continue the story and ask questions until everyone in the meeting has participated.
2. Round Robin (>15 individuals): Club president will start off with a 1-3 minute speech on any topic of choice. They will end with a question and select an individual to answer within 1-3 minutes. Once finished, the individual will end with a question and select someone else to answer like so. The cycle will continue until everyone had an opportunity to speak.
Prepared Speeches
Approximately 6-8 members will prepare a 4-6 minute speech, in advance to give during the meeting. Speeches will be evaluated based on delivery with the provided evaluation sheet. Rewards are given to those who have reached the 20 speech, 40 speech and 60 speech milestones.
Evaluations
An evaluation sheet will be provided during the meeting. All speakers will be evaluated by their peers in order to improve on delivery. In ThinkFast meetings, each individual will be evaluated by the preceding speaker. In Prepared Speeches meetings, volunteers or preceding speakers will evaluate our orators.
